Mission Plan

“Daring to Live God’s Promises” is the Mission Plan (strategic plan) of the Diocese of Perth.  The initial period of the Mission Plan was 2008-2012, and at Synod in 2012 it was resolved to adopt the Mission Plan for a further five years to December 2017.

All Worshipping Communities, chaplaincies, schools and agencies of the Diocese are encouraged to engage with ‘Daring to live God’s promises’ as a sign of our shared vision and our commitment to God’s mission in all its fullness.

Mission Plan LaunchThe Mission Plan has three “key mission areas” (KMA’s):

  • Creatively listening and telling the Good News of Jesus  (PROCLAIM)
  • Vital worshipping communities   (WORSHIP)
  • Reaching out in loving service    (SERVE)

and two sections (“enablers”), which enable the KMA’s:

  • Inspirational leadership
  • Life-giving systems and structures

It’s a great plan, with an exciting vision for the love and power of God to reach every corner of the Diocese of Perth from the remote rural areas to the inner city. Of course, a great plan is only as good as the people who are working on it!
