Synod

The First Session of the Forty-Seventh Synod will be held from 2-4 October 2009 at John Septimus Roe Anglican Community School in Mirrabooka.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING SYNOD ELECTIONS

On page 13 of the Synod Business Paper (Book 2), which gives the instructions for Elections by Synod, there is a significant error in the second paragraph.

It should read as follows:

Nominations which shall be made in accordance with
Section 3 of the Statute to Regulate Elections by Synod 1974-1982
and Standing Order 26.3(b) should be handed to the Diocesan Registrar
no later then 5.00pm on Friday, 25 September 2009.

Please amend your copy of the Synod Business Paper accordingly.

An electronic version of the Business Paper and Appendices is available for download below, along with a copy of the Synod Timetable.

The Diocese looks forward to hearing Professor Ian Harper, the former Chairman of the Australian Fair Pay Commission, give a bible study prior to Synod and give a presentation at Synod on the topic: ‘Your money and your life – stewardship in a time of economic turmoil’. Brief biographical details about Professor Harper are available here.
