Archbishop sends prayers

Please be assured of the love, thoughts and prayers of the Diocese of Perth and many across the National and International church who have expressed their concern and solidarity with all affected by the bush fires.

I am deeply aware of what a closely knit community Esperance is, and how the deaths of Kym, Freddy Curnow, Julia, Anna and Tom will be felt by every person. Our prayers are especially with Rosanne, Tom, Riley, Emma and the families of the others who died in the fires.

Anglican Overseas Aid

St Patrick’s at the Parish of Mt Lawley is presenting the inaugural Mt Lawley Christmas Festival on Sunday 29 November from 4pm to 9pm.

This is a free landmark event boasting a wide array of activities that are bound to please including camel rides, artisan stalls, food vans and markets.

You will also be able to purchase Christmas gifts that help fight poverty around the world from Anglican Overseas Aid’s Gifts of Light Christmas catalogue. Anglican Overseas Aid’s Church Engagement Coordinator, Nils von Kalm, is travelling from Melbourne to attend the Festival. You will be able to buy the gifts directly from him, or take a copy of the catalogue to purchase gifts later.

The gifts available support Anglican Overseas Aid’s work around the world in four key areas: healthcare, solar lighting, water and sanitation, and safety and peace.
