Priest, Parish of Balga-Mirrabooka
Priest: Parish of Balga-Mirrabooka
Are you a priest looking for a challenge within a welcoming and diverse church congregation? Then the Anglican Parish of Balga-Mirrabooka is seeking someone like you to lead, serve and guide us as we seek to grow the Church’s mission in our parish.
The position is currently available on a part-time (0.5 - 0.75 by negotiation) basis with an expectation that it will grow to a full time position in the future. The parish has its worship centre on the grounds of John Septimus Roe Anglican Community School in Mirrabooka and includes a beautiful worship space complete with extremely good pipe organ and occasional choir.
The suburbs of Mirrabooka, Balga, Nollamara, Girrawheen, Koondoola, Marangaroo, Ballajura, Alexander Heights, Landsdale and Darch fall within the parish boundaries. The parish currently provides three weekly services on a Sunday: an 8am Eucharist service; a 9.30am sung Eucharist; and an 11am Sudanese service. Services are also provided mid-week to two aged care facilities within the parish.
The rector is supported within the Sudanese congregation by a 0.5 time priest.
The parish is looking to grow its presence within the community and work closely with JSRACS. It has a dedicated team of people who help with services and the administration of the Church.
The position comes with a high quality rectory in Marangaroo. Is God calling you to grow the ministry in this unique parish?
