Position Vacant: Casual Chef
Are you an experienced Chef looking for a casual position? How would you like to prepare delicious food in an outdoor adventure place in Swan Valley where you could be catering for up to 400 people, working with a small, but hard working and positive team?
We are seeking the services of an experienced chef to help through the coming busy period on a casual basis. You will be confident in all aspects of cooking in a commercial kitchen, being able to support the other chefs for a service of up to 200 covers.
Shifts may be during the day or in the evening and the number of hours available will depend on the quality of the applicant and the number of functions which are booked, ideally we will offer between 20 – 30 hours per week.
Swan Valley Adventure Centre offers a safe and secure world of adventure that is challenging, exciting, and transforming. We offer activity packed school camps, serene corporate conferences or white-knuckle team building adventures.
About the role
You will be supporting the Head Chef and other chefs in the delivery of food quality, safety and service while working within established budgets. Your main responsibilities will include food preparation, service and pack down duties.
You must be able to perform to a consistently high standard and be able to work unsupervised or within our team.
The successful candidate will be required to provide a National Police Certificate and a Working with Children Check. As Swan Valley Adventure Centre is an entity of the Anglican Diocese of Perth, our Head Chef should also be supportive of the Anglican Church and its values.
