Religious Orders

The Anglican Church worldwide has a number of religious orders whose members share a common life, keep a rule of life, and work together in areas of mission.

In Australia there are Anglicans living by the Benedictine rule (eg at Camperdown in Victoria), Anglican Franciscan brothers, sisters and “Third Order” members of the Society of St Francis, Anglican priests in the Society of the Sacred Mission, Anglican nuns in the Society of the Sacred Advent, and others in the Community of the Holy Name, and others.
