Priest, Parish of Rockingham-Safety Bay
Priest: Parish of Rockingham-Safety Bay
Do you have a heart to serve Jesus and love His people? A passion for growing a church by making disciples who are disciple makers - teaching the Bible and equipping others to do so? A commitment to encouraging men and women of all ages to be innovative, Kingdom-minded leaders equipped to serve Christ in the church and in the world? The ability to encourage both disciples and seekers of Christ?
We are looking for someone who can encourage and enable growth in current ministries and explore and drive new ministries in our community. We have been well taught and loved by gospel-focused ministers and long to see that kind of ministry continue in our church. We are seeking a pastor and teacher who will serve Christ among us.
Each Sunday we look for biblical, engaging and practical sermons, thankful praise and prayer to God, and are prepared to participate as our gifts fit the situation. Our congregation is older - many retirees with a handful of younger families. There is enormous potential for growth with almost 18% of the community identifying as Anglicans, but not attending Church.
Our church worship centre - St Nicholas is in the city centre of Rockingham, a delightful beachside suburb. Community profile data is available at https://profile.id.com.au/rockinhgham
