About the Role
As Chaplain and Mission Leader, with Anglicare WA you will be part of a dynamic and innovative leadership team building a strong-values-driven, faith based organisational culture. In this role you will be instrumental in ensuring the solid connection and collaboration between Anglicare WA and the Anglican Church remains strong and is enhanced to support Anglicare WA achieve its vision of a just and fair Western Australia where everyone can thrive. You will continue to build Anglicare WA’s relationship with congregations, schools, and the broader Anglican Church. You will also provide supportive and compassionate chaplaincy and pastoral care to our diverse workforce. Your passion for social justice, underpinned by Christian values will play a pivotal role developing our advocacy priorities and developing strategies which challenge barriers to thriving. You will connect with a range of national, state, sector and local groups, championing Anglicare WA’s vision and purpose.
Applying your extensive knowledge, skills and experience, you will make an impact to the lives of families and communities across our state. This role isn’t for just anyone. It requires a capacity to effectively connect Anglican theology with contemporary community service, an appetite for innovation, the capacity for hard work and resilience to achieve positive outcomes and impact.
You are an experienced and highly regarded minister of religion or lay person authorised and licensed to minister as a Chaplain whose application is endorsed by the Anglican Church. You have strong Church networks and a demonstrated commitment and passion for inclusion and social justice. You thrive working in complex, multi-faceted environments, applying your ecumenical knowledge, experience, and insights. You are an exceptional communicator who easily builds strong, trusting relationships with broad and diverse people. Along with relevant training and qualifications, you will have knowledge and experience positively contributing to organisational culture and strategies.
The successful candidate must also possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, Working with Children Check and a WA Drivers Licence.

A competitive remuneration commensurate with experience will be offered. In addition to your remuneration, you will enjoy generous tax-free salary packaging benefits where you can package up to $15,900 per annum and not pay tax on that amount as well as an extra 3 days’ leave per year.
