Amana Living Inc. is one of WA’s largest not-for-profit providers of care and services for older people and an agency of the Anglican Diocese of Perth.

Our desire is to help older people truly LIVE the second half of their lives. We all want to live active, healthy lives at every age and stage. Amana Living’s philosophy is to achieve this, as far as possible, for all our residents and clients.

We have been serving the community since 1962, so you can be assured of our expertise and quality care and services. In 2018/19, we served more than 5,800 people across 15 residential and transition care facilities, 6 day clubs, 17 retirement villages and a range of home care services.

We employ more than 1470 staff who, along with 215 volunteers, support our clients in residential care centres, housing, home care services, respite care, transition care and dementia services, spread across 21 sites in Perth metro, Australind, Kalgoorlie and Albany.

The Amana Living Training Institute (ALTI) continues to meet the training needs of Amana Living, individual students and external aged care providers with more than 300 enrolments since ALTI’s relaunch in July 2017.

Amana Living has strong connections across the Anglican community. CEO Stephanie Buckland is a Council Member of Anglicare Australia and Chair of the St George’s Anglican Grammar School Council. Senior Chaplain, The Reverend Jenifer Goring, serves on the Executive Committee of the Council of Churches of WA. She is also the Pastoral Care representative on the Department of Health WA Human Research Ethics Committee and member of Provincial Council and the Diocesan Senior Staff group.

Amana Living’s enrichment program involves partnerships with Anglican schools in Perth with projects such as the Amana Living Arts Festival, a new digital literacy program called BeConnected, and the successful GenConnect program with All Saints’ College, John Wollaston Anglican Community School and St Mary’s Anglican School.

The Amana Living Board is committed to ensuring the organisation’s long-term sustainability in an increasingly challenging environment so that we can continue to serve our clients and residents, many of whom are marginalised by society. Current Board members helping to steer the organisation include:

  • John Langoulant (Chair)
  • The Reverend Nick Freeland
  • Damian Gordon
  • Dr Peter Rudolph
  • Tim Urquhart
  • Sue Wilson
  • Dr Aresh Anwar
  • Jennifer Delany Vaessen
