Parish of Wongan Hills-Dalwallinu
The Parish of Wongan Hills-Dalwallinu straddles two large shires and is situated in the heart of the central wheatbelt comprising three centres: Wongan Hills, Dalwallinu and Ballidu. We also hold services in Konongorring and Cadoux Community Churches. The Parish Office is located in Wongan Hills.
At Ballidu, the services are held monthly with dates set to suit local needs of a very small, but active congregation.
The service is traditional and always followed by morning tea and fellowship.
The highlight in recent years has been the consecration of the painting the “Resurrection of Christ” which was painted by a team of seven local people under the supervision of artist John Paul.
The parish has vibrant congregations which are warm and welcoming. Worship is both traditional and all age. The parish takes every opportunity to reach out into the wider community which enables parishioners to deepen their relationship with God and serve their neighbour.
Our parish is an important anchor in this area, for while there is a stable farming community, there are also many families who are in transition. We are creative and flexible and are open to people’s changing needs.
Our doors are open to everyone of any faith or none.
The parish is served by a Non-Stipendiary Priest and a Parish Administrator.
