Parish of Swanbourne-Mt Claremont
We are a traditional Catholic Anglican parish within the Diocese of Perth.
We seek to be faithful to an orthodox Christian faith within a rapidly changing Australian society that is not always compatible with an orthodox Christianity. The heart of our following of Jesus Christ is our worship of God-in-Christ present in the mass.
We are a middle-aged to elderly community of Anglicans who are, consequently, mature in the faith. However, we are also conscious of our need to grow in our Christian discipleship of Jesus Christ and to spread his Gospel of new life for all who come to him. That mission we undertake principally through our music ministry and engagement with the wider community. Those who encounter us find a welcoming and active community life of Christian fellowship.
Please join us each Sunday for Mass at 9am.
1st & 3rd Sundays of the month: Sung Mass (choir & congregational setting)
2nd & 5th Sunday: Mass with Hymns, plus a choir member as cantor
4th Sunday: Choral Mass
In Choral Mass the choir sings the setting of the mass with music drawn from the Medieval centuries to the twenty-first century. Masses used over the past two years have been drawn from both Anglican and Roman Catholic composers, including Byrd, Mozart, Hayden, and Darke.
