A Vocations afternoon has been organised for the Diocese on Sunday 7 August 2022 to be held at Wollaston Theological College in Mt Claremont. The Archbishop, the Locum Warden, the Chair of the Examining Chaplains, and the Vocations Liaison Officer will all be present, alongside a number of others currently or recently involved in Formation, as well as in diverse expressions of ministry.

As St Paul wrote to the people of Ephesus (4:11-13) Christ gave gifts for ‘some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the Body of Christ’.

The challenge in every generation has been just that, to discern and raise up these apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, just as it is today. What if every parish priest, each school principal, all CEOs or chaplains and wardens in every parish, asked just one other person whether they might be called to explore a possible vocation to ordained ministry?

If everyone invited another to come to Wollaston on 7 August, how would we cope with the influx?! What a wonderful problem to have!! Please pray for vocations to ordained ministry in the Church of God, as we see what God may cause to happen.
