Parkerville Opens
New Head Office and
Launches New Kids Hub
Parkerville Children and Youth Care recently opened its new Head Office in Burswood, Western Australia. The modern facility serves as the hub for the organisation’s administrative operations, ensuring seamless support for its critical work.
The move aligns with the recent launch of the Head to Health Kids Hub at the Stan and Jean Perron Child, Youth and Family Centre in Midland in late January. Developed in partnership with Koya Aboriginal Corporation, Lifespan Psychology Centre, the Mental Illness Fellowship of Western Australia (MIFWA), and Pregnancy to Parenthood, the Kids Hub provides free mental health and wellbeing services for children aged 0–12.
Kim Brooklyn, CEO of Parkerville, explains, ‘As part of our ongoing commitment to the children, young people and families of Western Australia, we have transformed parts of the Stan and Jean Perron Child, Youth and Family Centre in Midland in order to utilise the whole building, all four floors, solely for the purpose of delivering supports and services to children, young people and their families.’
The service expansion to include the Head to Health Kids Hub at the Midland Centre reflects Parkerville’s strategic focus on delivering radically person-centred trauma informed services to children, young people and their families. These services are thoughtfully located in accessible spaces that are close to public transport, are child and young person friendly, and are welcoming of all peoples.
In addition, the centralisation of organisational support services at the new Burswood Head Office fosters greater collaboration across teams and service sites. These include centres in Rockingham, Midland, Armadale, Northam, a co-location in Mirrabooka, and 13 smaller service sites spanning from Parkerville to Darch and Joondalup to Byford.
Kim Brooklyn highlights the importance of these changes, stating, ‘Our team is dedicated to providing the best possible support for children, young people and families who have experienced significant trauma and adverse childhood experiences. These developments enable us to collaborate more effectively and deliver the highest quality outcomes for those we serve.’
Parkerville expresses its deep gratitude to the individuals, organisations and businesses whose support has made these milestones possible. Your contributions enable the organisation to continue delivering vital services that empower families and young people to thrive.
