March was a busy month for Mothers’ Union (MU) members in Perth. Many took part in World Day of Prayer services held around Perth on Friday 7 March, and about 30 members joined together to celebrate Lady Day at St Mark’s, Parish of Bassendean.

At a recent meeting, MU Malaga branch members were given an update on activities and a good deal of discussion took place on how to help children improve their learning about the Christian faith. Esther Poni and Alice Elioba (pictured with Jan Rose) were enrolled as members.

Also in March, Jan Rose and Perth MU Diocesan Secretary, Lois McGrath, attended a national conference of MU members from Zimbabwe, which was held in Perth. We are very happy to see the bonds between our groups being strengthened by this contact.

On Sunday 30 March the congregation of Holy Trinity, Parish of East Victoria Park-Bentley, welcomed the President of Perth MU to share in commemorating Mothering Sunday. Jan spoke on the gospel reading for the day, Luke 15:11-32, which speaks of God’s love and his willingness to welcome us home.

On the national front, Mothers’ Union is excited to announce the launch of its new-look website. While still located at the familiar address, www.muaustralia.org.au, the new website is brimming with fresh features and an enhanced design that makes navigation seamless and enjoyable. The new design is not only visually appealing, but also easy to use, with intuitive menus and a clean layout. Why not dive into the new website today and find out more about the work of Mothers’ Union, across Australia and beyond?
