The diocesan office of the Anglican Diocese of Perth’s core business is to provide administration support and high level leadership to the Anglican Church, Diocese of Perth.

We urgently require an experienced Risk and Compliance Manager for a temporary six-month engagement with a possibility for extension to manage the Diocesan Risk Management and WHS Frameworks, Statutory and Contractual Compliance. The Acting Risk and Compliance Manager will work closely with the CEO and the CFO to identify new and emerging risks, review existing risks, risk themes and risk treatments and review adequacy of insurance and other mitigates. The manager will develop and maintain policy and procedures to provide Safety and Risk solutions for all workplaces within the diocese. In addition to this, they will ensure contractual and pool trust compliance and manage grants. They will also contribute proactive ideas related to insurance claims processing.

To be successful in this role, you shall have the following attributes:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior risk and compliance officer role
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Financial management and strategic planning experience
  • Excellent communicator and negotiator
  • High level analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.

Our preferred candidate will be proactive, flexible and adaptable to change. Another important personal quality is to have empathy for the Anglican tradition.
