The Anglican Social Responsibilities Commission initiates and facilitates education which informs and supports social justice advocacy in the community, worshipping communities, schools and agencies.

We develop and implement advocacy strategies targeting church, government, business and non-government sectors.

Our focus is on criminal justice, Aboriginal issues, poverty and refugees. In all our work we:

  • provide a Christian perspective and a theological basis for our approaches and actions
  • seek guidance and empowerment through prayer
  • where possible, work collaboratively and ecumenically with other church organisations and also with people of other faiths or none.
