Donations and Bequests

Gifts and bequests are a heartfelt way of helping to ensure the future mission and ministry of the Anglican Church. For many people, leaving a gift in their will is a final opportunity to make a lasting gift to God. It is also a way to make a lasting difference to the future of their church and faith community.

Who can donate?

The trustees of the Funds can accept donations and bequests from any person or corporation provided the donation is not in conflict with the mission of the Church and it is to be used for a charitable purpose.

If you wish to make a bequest, then please discuss the matter with the preparer of your will and with the Diocese to ensure that your wishes can be met. It is our strong advice that your will should be professionally prepared and that the Diocese is fully aware of your wishes to ensure that they can be met and are followed to the letter.

If the donation or bequest is of a type that does not meet the requirements of the Funds, then regretfully, the Trustees are bound by law to refuse it; therefore, we advise early engagement with the Trustees.

Where will my donation or bequest go?

If your gift is not tied to a single purpose, once the donation or bequest is accepted it will be held in the Anglican Community Fund (fully guaranteed by the Trustees) and then used under the discretion of the Trustees to advance the charitable purposes of the Trustees and the Diocese. If the gift is tied to a purpose, then it will be held in a separate account with the ACF and used for that purpose, again under the control of the Trustees.

How do I donate?

To make your donation, please contact the Diocesan Secretary or the Chief Financial Officer by telephone on 08 9425 7200 to discuss your individual situation, mentioning that you wish to donate through the Charitable Trust.

We can also be contacted by post to:

GPO Box W2067

Perth WA 6846

The Charitable Trust and the Trustees all have perpetual status so your donation, when made, will be managed, and safe, for a very long time.
