Archives
The Diocese of Perth archive collection contains diaries, journals, minute books and other records of Anglican churches, organisations, missions, orphanages, schools and colleges within Western Australia.
We also hold maps and architectural plans relating to Anglican churches in the state and a collection of photographic prints, negatives, transparencies and lantern slides which date from the 19th century to the present day.
Objects within the archives include vestments, crosiers and seals which document the ceremonial and episcopal life of the Church. Parish registers recording baptisms, marriages and burials are held within the collection and are important resources in genealogy and family history.
The collection has been identified as having state and national significance. To access the collection or donate to the collection, please contact the archivist at archives@perth.anglican.org.
The Anglican Diocese of Perth also has a page on the Collections WA website, which can be accessed at the link below:

We would like to invite people with an interest in archives to consider volunteering with Diocesan Archives.
The Diocesan Archives Story: Part 1 - Early Days
The earliest list of archival records, which included some of the earliest parish registers was compiled in 1945.

Diocesan Archives: Parish of Kelmscott
One of the collections we are working on now is the Kelmscott parish. The collection includes minute books, publications and registers of births and marriages which document the history of the parish and the district.

A Donation with a Few Surprises
A recent donation to the archives contained a few surprises; unexpected items stored within a book collection belonging to Thomas Blackburn.
