Social Justice
Faith in Action: Social Justice
The Anglican Social Responsibilities Commission initiates and facilitates education which informs and supports social justice advocacy in the community, worshipping communities, schools and agencies.
It develops and implements advocacy strategies targeting church, government, business and non-government sectors. Our current focus is on:
- criminal justice
- Aboriginal issues
- poverty and
- refugees.
The management committee or ‘commissioners’, are individuals engaged and experienced in a number of areas to do with social justice. They are agents of change whose passion is to extend social justice advocacy in our worshipping community.
The Anglican Social Responsibilities Commission was established as a Diocesan commission in 2009.
