Interests and expertise

Pastoral supervision provides a warm, collaborative and collegial relationship in which to process the unique challenges and opportunities of ministry. As God never intended ministry to be done in isolation, 'collegial' pastoral supervision provides a special context for ongoing support. By providing a safe space for intentional reflection, my supervision practice supports the growth, wisdom and long-term fruitfulness of ministry workers.

Our supervision sessions will be led by what is most relevant and important for your ministry context. Guided by the goals and agendas presented by the supervisee, my own interests include the following:

  • Pastors who serve out of their unique pastoral identity and sense of calling
  • Awareness of relational dynamics and values within church and ministry teams.
  • Wise and effective pastoral care for complex cases.
  • The pastor's own spiritual growth and well-being.
  • Integration of theology, faith and ministry practice.

My passion for pastoral supervision comes out of my own experience of 13 years of ministry in a multi-site, multicultural church in Sydney. I personally experienced the need for someone who could come alongside me to skillfully guide my own reflections in ministry. I now serve the wider church as a pastoral supervisor and a biblical counsellor.

Fees

$140 (one hour session)
I offer a free 1/2 hr consultation to explore the possibility of supervision.
