Experience and expertise

My passion is encouraging people to develop and grow - to follow and fulfil their Divine calling, to reach their potential, and create sustainable practices and longevity in their vocation – because we all desire to hear God say “Well done, good and faithful servant. ...” That was my calling as a teacher, student service deputy, chaplain, ministry leader and pastoral care manager – and it still is as a professional supervisor.

Apart from my work in schools and chaplaincy, I co-founded, led and managed a cross-cultural outreach ministry that reached around 600 young people every week. From personal experience and my MA degree research on burnout, I understand the passion that calls individuals to a vocation of serving God and helping others, and the hidden risk of emotional exhaustion and burnout. Therefore, I recognise the importance of having intentional space2reflect, to recalibrate, and refresh.

Through my life God has called me to different roles and levels of service, in education and not-for-profit organisations. I experienced the challenges of working with people, developed humility and compassion, learned the importance of integrity and accountability, but above all - to trust and rely on God. I've learned that relationship proceed processes, and that success stands on the shoulders of healthy and respectful relationships. I am an independent supervisor having confidential supervision conversations with clergy, board members, leaders and emerging leaders, chaplains and educators.

In Supervision we turn down the loud noises that clutter our space.
We tune into the unheard voices, the unnoticed images,
and the unmentioned questions.
In Supervision we stop and listen for the small still voice of our Counsellor.
We adjust to get in step with the One who gives us insight and wisdom.
We zoom in and out for better perspectives,
and we graciously examine and learn.
